The July 1863 Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War, for it marked the end of Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s second and most aggressive invasion of the North. The loss of life in the three-day battle was so significant (over 51,000 casualties) that the conflict substantially shifted the Civil War’s momentum. The Confederacy lost its bid for a major victory in the North, and it dashed any hopes of receiving official recognition from other countries. A hand-rendered illustration styled after the vintage poster art of the 20th century, this design is available as a poster, framed print, metal sign, canvas, or as a set of notecards or postcards. This original national park art and travel art would look great on any wall in the home, or at the workplace.
